Illustration Friday - Unbalanced

This is something I faced a lot in Singapore, when I first adopted my English name...

People's tongues get unbalanced... coming up with innovative variations like Ah Lian, EH-dran and Ah-dree-anah.

"Trip Over" 

I can see it isn't easy for most Singaporeans. They had to walk a tight rope, balance, skid over syllables or see my name as a burden. Hence this sketch.
